Interesting Changes in Views of Flexible Work Arrangements

Deloitte & Touche LLP is testing a program called 'Mass Career Customization'.  This is an interesting concept as it recognizes that offering work/life flexibility within ones career is not necessarily a cookie cutter solution.

Career Customization
Despite a workforce that is clamoring for more flexibility, there is mounting evidence that formal flexible work arrangements are not the answer. So if today's readily accepted views of flexibility are not the answer, what is? In a word: customization. Borrowing from the trend toward mass product customization, we're piloting a program for mass career customization that fills the gap between the traditional "one-size-fits-all" and "custom-made" approaches.
