BCIT’s in-house temporary auxiliary support service is looking for high calibre, dynamic and adaptable individuals who are interested in working less than full-time.

Join our auxiliary team and work a variety of assignments such as switchboard operator, assessment administrator, and other clerical and administrative roles.

Ideal qualifications include

- Grade 12, plus up to six months of specialized training in computer/office skills
- Two years of general experience, plus six months of experience in a similar position where responsibilities included record keeping and proficient use of Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of, and experience with, The Learning Manager testing system an asset
- Previous experience using Banner, Lotus Notes, Nortel Meridian1 Attendant PC or the Learning Manager an asset
- Must have excellent customer service and communication skills
- Proven ability to meet changing priorities while maintaining a high level of customer service
- Strong aptitude for planning, organization and attention to detail in order to meet deadlines
- Good judgment and initiative needed
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Accurate keyboarding skills of 50 wpm
- Must be a self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision
- Experience in an educational setting and computer managed learning environment an asset
