Job Title: Accounting Firm Scheduling Manager
Hours: Part-Time Flexible with the potential for Summers Off
Purpose of the Position:
The Scheduler ensures all client work is assigned to professional staff to maximize professional staff utilization and professional staff work experience. Key to success in this role is the ability to understand the impact of effective and efficient scheduling on client service. The Scheduler acts as a coach for professional staff.
Scheduling responsibilities make up approximately 50 to 75% of a full-time workload. Other responsibilities can be added to the portfolio, or part-time flexible hours can be arranged. We’re willing to work with the right candidate to find an arrangement that suits both you and the firm.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Meet with staff daily to discuss work in progress and upcoming assignments
Meet with partners at least weekly to discuss inventory and upcoming jobs
Make daily updates to the schedule and job inventory list
Manage the rotation of ‘reads’ informing the admin team of the professional staff available for ‘reads’
Work with bookkeeping team leader to assign bookkeeping work
Track CA student experience: out-of-office, audit and assurance work
Receive client data and backup
Maintain and manage the long-term schedule quarterly
Work with HR Manager to keep partners informed of long-term workforce needs
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
Appropriate client work or administrative work dependant on the successful candidate
Other duties as assigned
Required Experience Education and Skills:
CA, CGA or CMA designation
Knowledge of MS Excel
Experience in a pubic practice environment is a plus
Understanding of public practice and file preparation.

Customer Service Field Representative – 1 year contract
As one of the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies, our business is focused on providing innovative, effective medicines that make a real difference in important areas of healthcare.
We are currently seeking to fill a Customer Service Field Representative role for a 1 year contract. The incumbent will be responsible for providing and merchandising product samples and literature to doctor’s offices in the Vancouver area.
The individual that we are looking for has an outgoing personality who loves to interact with people and possesses strong customer service skills.
Your job responsibilities will include:
* Ensuring to meet/exceed target of 25 service calls per day and rotation frequency targets.
* Introducing, developing and maintaining the positive corporate image of the company with the front office staff of doctor’s offices.
* Providing valuable customer service by delivering approved product/patient literature.
* Redirecting all requests that are not within scope of responsibility to the appropriate company resources.
* Ensuring that all calls and sample drops are captured in an electronic tracking system on a daily basis.
* Ensuring compliance and adherence to external and internal policies and procedures.
Qualifications
* Customer Service/merchandising and related-transferable experience is required.
* Strong work ethic, well organized with solid communication skills; Ability to present oneself in a professional manner.
* Ability to positively impact others by establishing credibility and trust leading to strong professional relationships.
* Committed to meet and/or exceed performance targets established for the role and targeted customers’ expectations.
* Committed to working collaboratively with designated staff.
* Self-motivator, ability to work independently and with limited supervision.
* Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite (such as Word and Excel).
* High School Diploma is required (Post-Secondary education is valued).
* Formal business attire is required.
* A valid Driver’s license is required. (The successful candidate must be able to provide a valid driver abstract at the time of acceptance.)
Compensation
Base salary $38-$40k + 10% bonus + fully paid company car & gas + medical & dental benefits + life insurance
