VP/Director, Communications

Location: Vancouver (but very flexible for the right person).

In the Internet age, it's all about communications. We're looking for a high-energy, dedicated leader to drive the communications and public relations strategy for Communicate.com and its portfolio businesses. Join us and surround yourself with possibility.

Reports to: President (for now)

Responsibilities:
o    Lead the creation, execution and measurement of a communications strategy that targets:

o    Influencers/opinion leaders in the Consumer Internet space
o    End consumers of Communicate.com portfolio businesses such as perfume.com, cricket.com, etc.
o    Investors and the investment community

o    Manage all internal/outbound marketing communications and messaging
o    Design and develop marketing collateral
o    Develop a crisis communications process and plan
o    Participate in overall corporate strategy development


Knowledge, skills, and abilities
o    7 year's agency account/in-house experience with global/leading consumer brands
o    Bachelors degree in journalism, communications, or marketing. Post-graduate education a plus.
o    A passion for the consumer internet and an appreciation of how the consumer internet fundamental changes the strategy, execution and measurement of communications strategy
o    An exceptional manager who knows how to build world-class teams
o    Exceptional verbal and written communications skills
o    Desire and proven ability to work in driven, results-oriented environment
o    Sound judgment and relentless attention to detail
o    Team player, low ego
